How to troubleshoot a B200 error in a Canon printer?

Your Canon printer can get the error anytime. Error code B200 appears when the printer can’t read the print job. When you face the error code; the printer stops working. The user should repair the printer error and then he can take the printouts easily.

Troubleshooting Canon printer error B200

Restart the Canon printer

The printer can show a Canon error message when it gets into a runtime error. To fix that error, the user can simply restart the printer. But the simple shut down can’t fix the error, so the user should power restart the printer. You have to take out the power cable from the printer when the error code appears. Now reconnect the power plug and printer functions will start from the beginning. After restarting your Canon printer, try taking the printout and check for the B200 error code.

Run the printer troubleshooter

For fixing the B200 error code, you can try running the printer troubleshooter on the PC. The printer error occurs when some printer service files are not working. To repair those files, the user can use the printer troubleshooter. If any printer related files are not working, this troubleshooter will fix them. Open the troubleshooter tab on the Update and Security page and search for the printer troubleshooter. Run the service and wait for it. After running the tool, all the printer related files will run and your printer error will get resolved.

Repair the driver on the PC

To resolve the Canon B200 error MX922, you can try inspecting the printer driver. Your printer stops working if the printer driver is not working on the PC. Without the correct driver on the PC, your Canon printer can’t read any of the print commands. If your driver files are corrupted then open those files and try to repair them. But you can’t find the corrupted files; you can use the driver repair tool. The tool will run on the PC and check all the installed drivers. When your printer driver is corrupted, the repair tool will fix it. Once your driver is repaired, your Canon printer will start working.

Reconnect the Canon printer

B200 error on Canon can appear due to the connection error. For repairing the error, the user can try reconnecting the printer with this PC. For the wired connection, you have to remove the cable and check it. If the printer cable is damaged then buy a new and high-speed cable for the Canon printer. Reconnecting the printer may repair the printer error. When the Canon printer is using the network, you have to check for the WPS. When the WPS is disabled, the printer shows an error message. Restart the WPS pin on the router and then rescan the network on the printer. Choose the reliable network for the Canon printer for connection.

Remove the pending jobs from the printer

When you get an error code while giving a new print command then check for the memory. The printer may show errors when the memory is full. If the printer shows an error message but takes the printouts then wait. Take all printouts until the printer memory gets empty. In case, the printer is not working then the user may have to remove the pending jobs.

  2. Tap on the Print Queue icon
  3. Users will get the print queue on the screen
  4. Click on the job and then select the Cancel button

On the confirm window, select Yes and the current print job will be removed. For deleting all jobs, select All and tap on Cancel. Once the printer memory gets empty, the user should try giving a new print job to your Canon printer.

Check the cartridge status on the printer

When an error message appears, the user should check the cartridge status. Sometimes, the cartridge isn’t installed correctly and then the printer stops working. If the printer is not reading the cartridge then you have to install it correctly. Remove it and then check the pins. Check for any protective clips and then reinstall the cartridge on the Canon printer. When the printer gets the cartridge, it will start working correctly.
